Skin Toning Mist
This skin toning contains witch hazel, a highly effective astringent. It contains an abundance of natural tannin - a yellowish or brownish bitter-tasting organic substance present in some galls, barks, and other plant tissues, consisting of derivatives of gallic acid - that have the ability to shrink inflamed, swollen tissue and tighten pores. The beneficial effect of witch hazel on the skin even extends to facilitating the healing of scars. Witch hazel also has anti-viral and anti-fungal properties. In addition, essential oils, natural resins, and flavonoids contribute to witch hazel’s gentle but powerful antiseptic and broad-spectrum anti-microbial properties.
For facial skincare, rosehip oil offers several benefits when applied externally. It protects the skin and increases cell turnover because it contains vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin D, and B-carotene, a form of vitamin A, and which are all antioxidants that help fight free radicals. Rosehip oil’s healing properties are due to its chemical structure. It’s rich in essential fatty acids, but more specifically oleic, palmitic, linoleic and gamma-linolenic acid. Rosehip oil contains polyunsaturated fatty acids (vitamin F), and when absorbed through the skin, these fatty acids convert to prostaglandins (PGE), which are involved in cellular membrane and tissue regeneration. Specifically, it is that regeneration can provide anti-aging benefits. It is particularly high in vitamin C, making it one of the richest plant sources for the skin and another reason why rosehip oil is a great choice.
How to use it - Spray often for cleansing, tonic hydrating and refreshing. You can also spray a cotton ball or cleansing pad and wipe gently your skin. Because we don't add any chemicals or fragrances to this formula, it needs to be shaken before each use.
