Eucalyptus is known for its healing properties and has been used in holistic and folk medicine for centuries. It helps to relieve congestion, headaches, and tension as well as strengthen the immune system.
To smudge, light one end with a match and allow it to remain alight for a few seconds. Gently extinguish the flame so that the ember still produces smoke. Blow on the end every few seconds or gently wave the smudge stick around to keep the ember alive. Continue smudging until the room is lightly filled with smoke. To extinguish, smother the lit end on a burn-resistant surface such as porcelain or glass. Alternatively, let the smudge stick sit on a burn-resistant surface and after a few minutes the ember will slowly burn out on its own.
